During Dr. Medero's professional career as a general surgeon, he recognized the need for an all-inclusive and specialized approach to treating injured workers outside of the emergency room environment. With this concept in mind, he opened our first occupational medicine facility in Ocala back in 1985.
Today, Medero Medical has become one of the leading occupational healthcare providers in Central Florida having established 6 facilities, conveniently located in Ocala, Leesburg, Orlando and Tampa. Throughout our continuum of development and growth, one very important ingredient has always been factored in; each facility is staffed with highly skilled and dedicated occupational medicine physicians supported by a team of trained and experienced clinical and administrative staff who care about our patients.
At Medero Medical, we create and deliver occupational healthcare solutions to the patients, employers and insurers we serve. Our primary goal is to provide a comprehensive and cost effective approach to healthcare by placing special emphasis on positive patient outcomes by controlling the treatment process and focusing on early appropriate return to work protocols. By shortening the length of injury care, we are able to drastically reduce costs to our employers and insurers and at the same time provide efficiencies in case management, quality of decision making and effective communication between ourselves, the employer, and case manager. At Medero Medical, we focus on prevention of both injury and illness through the promotion of a healthy work environment and consultation in developing appropriate pre-employment screening and post-offer testing.
